🌍 Real progress, real risks. In 2024, we advanced disaster risk reduction globally in numerous ways. For example: 65 countries—70% of them LDCs or SIDS—strengthened early warning systems with our support. 30 more improved their national #DRR strategies. 163 Member States are now contributing to the Sendai Framework Monitor. But the clock is ticking. With just 5 years of the Sendai Framework to go, we still have a lot to achieve. ⏳Disasters continue to steal development gains 📉 Funding gaps remain 📢But DRR is an investment in a resilient future. Thank you to every partner helping drive change on the ground. With your support our work continues in 2025. 👉 https://ow.ly/7kqI50VyLP3

📢The Early Warnings for All Initiative dashboard tracks progress, informs decision-making and measures success of the Early Warnings for All Initiative, which aims for all people on Earth to be covered by early warning systems by 2027. The dashboard is the fruit of global cooperation, with multiples partners bringing data, sources and methodologies to create an online monitoring tool. It facilitates information sharing, enhancing coordination and strengthening accountability. It allows data for the four Early Warnings for All Key Pillars, as well as those for disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategies and cross-cutting enablers to be monitored and visualized.
